At Home

A Friend of mine is remodeling her home, and was in the process of purchasing her new living room furniture. She had been shopping around for a good deal for a month or so, and decieded to get it from Garden Ridge. So my husband and I drive her to Garden Ridge, a 30 mile round trip from Enochville, and back.



I had to walk to the very back of the store, and wave my hands at someone to help us. It was an older man, who told me he would have someone come meet us in the furniture dept. About 5 minutes later, the GR employee walked towards us, He looked and looked and couldn't find the couch in inventory, that was the same as the display. So his manager came and found the couch. We also were purchasing a recliner, so he went and got 2 Dolly's. Loaded the couch, on one dolly, and the chair on the other, and then Walked off to help someone else. (HELLO, WE ARE NOT FINISHED HERE). So my friend and my husband pull the furniture to the front of the store. (I THOUGHT THIS WAS PART OF THE EMPLOYEES JOB) The manager tells me, its ok, and once its paid for someone will help load the furniture in our truck. We paid for the merchandise, my husband and the employee load the couch on the truck, when my husband noticed the back of the couch was broken and about to pierce through the leather. So we had to unload the truck, and since that was the last couch, she asked if she could buy the display. So she went back in, and looked at the display, which had candy, and dirt all inside of it. (THEY TOLD HER THE DISPLAY WAS PRICED THE SAME AS THE OTHER COUCH THAT WAS IN INVENTORY). She went ahead and bought the recliner, because the manager told her they would get more in on Wed. OK, that will work. We got back home, and opened the box, and it was the WRONG COLOR! So need less to say, she took it back, got her money back, and took her business to BIG LOTS. So GARDEN RIDGE you just got beat by your competitor.
