Panera Bread

Panera's is over an hour away from us, so we always stop while at Polaris Mall. Got 4 chicken salad sandwich combos - take out - to eat on the way home. Opened up the first & found a big hair right in the center where they had sliced it in half. Needless to say we called, and the manager we talked to was very nice. We were too far away to turn around, but she said for us to throw them all away if we wanted (and we did since they all were out of the same dirty tub) & she would put our name down with a total credit & to stop in anytime to get it. Stopped in a few weeks later, for bread not sandwiches, & of course they didn't have any clue what we were talking about & refused to credit us. Guess that's why most people get loud & make a fuss to get something taken care of right away instead of doing like we did & try not to embarrass them. Won't be going back there......

A great place to get a soup and salad or sandwich and soup for lunch as well as a good cup of coffee. The cookies are large and taste wonderful. If you've got a sweet tooth, this is the place to satisfy it. It is self service, you order and pick up your order at the cashier's station and bus your own table when finished. The salads are fresh, but pre-made so if there is something you dislike in the ingredients, it can't be omitted. The variety of salads available make this a non-issue however. Sandwiches can be made to order with different breads, fillings, and side orders. There are several soups available - some on a special of the day basis and some available every day. Freshness of the soup is suspect however as some days it seems freshly made and others it seems like it is warmed over day old soup which tends to be thicker and somewhat dried out. The bakery items are freshly made on the premises. You can eat in or carry out.
