National Benefit Consultants

I recently inquired about the insurance known as Consumer Health (CHBA) because I recently became self-employed and had no insurance. I let the consultant know that I had not gone to the doctor except for annual check-ups, but that I did see an eye specialist and that I used eyedrops therefore I needed a plan with a good perscription plan. He raved about how this was the perfect solution for me. He asked me to say that I understood that this was not health insurance so that it could be recorded, then asked me for my visa number. He did not tell me that my money would not be refunded if I decided to cancel. I only found this out after I got an e-mail. Everywhere else you have a certain amount of time to decide. So $239.85 was taken out of my account 11/12/08. Today, I was told that they would only pay $5.00 on the perscription and that I would not receive a refund! Obviously there is a reason they do not refund, they are crooked and deceitful. I wonder how many people have been swindled like this! I plan to report this to Better Business and I may even put this experience on National News!
