Weak. Too bad TC Helicon only has 3 services centers in the USA. No matter how informative you are with High Energy Repair, provide details on your needs – in the end they soak you for $50.00 for diagnostics and tell you they can’t reproduce the problem. When it’s time to get your (still broken) gear back, they spend days with gear, don’t ship, no status calls or reply to messages. I live in FL and would have liked support my local economy…but they simply are not worthy. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.

TERRIBLE COMPANY BEWARE!!!

High Energy Repair in Clearwater can not be trusted for repairs. They are incompetent, take advantage of their customers deposit, don't deliver services on time as agreed, and then lie to cover up their incompetence!

Here's the details of my experience with High Energy. I brought my Digital Mixer in for repair in early December 2015. I was quoted $150 for a simple battery replacement. Four weeks later I had heard nothing from them. So I phoned them, at which point they made all kinds of excuses about the delay and said they had done nothing to replace the battery.

I ask to pick up my device and demanded the $50 deposit I had paid them. They refused to refund my money. And then, suddenly after being put on hold, the "Manager" claims that in fact his technician had already disassembled my mixer and that it could not be returned to me in that condition. He then told me they had had not ordered the part from the manufacturer and they now wanted $250 for the same job, a hundred dollars more than the estimate.

(Just as a point of reference, when I brought the mixer in I told them exactly what was wrong. That the battery needed replacement. That nothing else was wrong and I wanted nothing else done to the machine. I even offered them the directions for the repair, which were available at Yamaha and on YouTube. I also offered them the Yamaha part number for the battery.)

I was in a bad place because I really needed the unit repaired. They said they would get the part within a week and finish the job. And they would only charge me $207. I reluctantly agreed. I picked the mixer up on Friday 1-8-2016, over 5 weeks after dropping off the unit for what was supposed to be a maximum two week repair job.

When I got home I discovered that now the second motorized fader is completely broken. The faders worked perfectly when I brought the mixer in for the battery replacement. And now it will not move at all.

I called the company on Monday January 11, 2016 and spoke with someone who wasn't sure if he was the manager or not. He also could not tell me when the owner would be in. I told him about the broken fader.

I received a call from the "Owner" today January 12, 2016. He claims that the fader was broke when he got the unit. That was a bold face lie! And it was the very first time I had heard anything about it.

I have begun reversal charges against the High Energy company at my bank. And I will spread the news to beware of the unethical and incompetent practices of High Energy Repair in Clearwater FL.

This company was great. I had an issue with a few pieces of equipment and they told me upfront the charges and what they expected the problem was. I had no issues.

Horrible service. Sent my TC Electronic Finalizer Express to them in late April. Today, July 25th, I finally got in touch with somebody after leaving many emails and voicemail messages. Rude, hateful and non-responsive is the best way to describe their customer service by Morgan, the woman working the phones. I hope the unit is repaired when I get it back because I've spent over $250 with them to fix this piece (replacing power supply). I'm also hoping the unit arrives back in the factory original box and packing, which is how I sent it (overboxed). We'll see. I'm crafting a letter to TC Electronic with all the details. Pursue other options to have your gear repaired. You'll be glad you avoided this company. I wish I had.

STAY AWAY!!

Brought my amp in. Paid RUSH FEE. They took nine days to look at it, over a month to repair. Did not refund RUSH FEE. Never contacted when it was fixed. When I asked what was wrong with it, they couldn't confirm. TERRIBLE BUSINESS!! STAY AWAY

They sold me a broken subwoofer. Then I demanded a refund of which they refused to give me. Next they said I could pay to have it repaired. Finally after two more shop visits, driving a total of 4 hours, they said they fixed it and then I returned home to find the unit was still broken. After calling back again and demanding a refund they refused. High Energy Repair can claim to be good people and do honest business but the evidence speaks for itself. Let this business suffer and go bankrupt.

Worst service ever. I was told...

Worst service ever. I was told 7-10 days and quoted a price of $250. It took over 3 months and when I went to pick it up, it was $100 more than I agreed to. After 2 weeks my equipment broke again. Then they wanted me to bring it back and pay for more parts. It's worse than taking your car to a mechanic. I would never bring anything back.

Stay away. They rip people off...

Stay away. They rip people off by charging more hours than the repair actually takes. And if you need parts for the repair, they charge double their cost. And 50% of the time you have to bring your stuff back because it breaks down withinn a month.

Can't fix JBL Subwoofer

I have a JBL subwoofer. Only a few years old. It stopped working, so I took it to High Energy because it's an authorized JBL service center.

Initially it took more than three months for them to "fix" it. I picked it up and it worked only a matter of minutes. They took it back for a couple more weeks and more $$$ to fix it... and it was getting expensive. After I picked it up again, it still doesn't work properly. The unit doesn't shut off automatically as it is supposed to and I have to set it to nearly full volume for my movie surround sound, when I barely had to turn the volume up, but a few notches for the same level when I bought it.

Apparently both JBL's production and service center standards have fallen to the dreggs of the electronics industry.
