Ms. Jordan has been advising corporations both as a senior executive with responsibility for the corporations’ legal affairs and as outside counsel for more than 25 years. Prior to joining Mandell Menkes, she worked for consumer products and technology companies at the General Counsel or Assistant General Counsel level for over 15 years. From 1999 until mid-2004, she served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for PeopleSoft, Inc., the world’s second largest provider of enterprise application software with annual revenues of approximately $ 2.8 billion, until it was acquired by Oracle Corporation. In that role, she advised the Board of Directors, Board Committees and management on all legal matters affecting the corporation, including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and corporate governance matters. She also provided strategic advice relating to mergers and acquisitions, litigation and risk management, antitrust matters and intellectual property strategy, protection and enforcement. The corporation’s legal department included approximately 95 professionals in offices in the U.S. and internationally.

Employment Litigation
Mandell Menkes has established one of Chicago’s premiere practices dedicated to counseling and representing media companies in content-related matters. Our attorneys have defended local and national newspapers, book publishers, radio and television stations, on-air talent and Internet based publishers in claims based on defamation, invasion of privacy, right of publicity, infliction of emotional distress and negligent employment claims. Real Estate Transactions. Mandell Menkes transactional lawyers have experience in all aspects of commercial real estate law. We are also regularly involved in disputes concerning antitrust, lender liability claims, claims of fraud and deceptive business practices, breaches of confidentiality and defamation.
