I appreciated the opportunity to get a lifetime warranty on parts.

This was in fact the absolute worst auto shop I have dealt with in my entire life. I bought an older car, and it needed a fan and a sensor put in. I had it there for a few weeks, and they didn't put either in. So I was rushed to get somewhere, so I picked the car back up and decided I would bring it back in a few days. When I went to pick up the car, the bumper had a huge crack and hole in it, in which they agreed to fix when I brought it back. I then brought my car back about a week later or so, and figured it shouldn't take them more than a few days. Here I am sitting three weeks later, the parts aren't in my car. When I go to call them they will put me on hold for about 15 minutes , then just hang up on me. I have them a very exact day I needed it done by (which was weeks after I dropped it off), and they didn't get it done. They now refuse to fix the bumper, and my car is sitting there with out the parts on it. To make things even worse, they tried telling me the part was in there, and were about to let us drive away, but we asked to see where they put in the part. He came back 10 minutes later explaining how he was mistaken and the part wasn't in it. Honestly you would be better off going ANYWHERE in Chicago. Don't let the ratings fool you, they might've done honest hard work 20 years ago, but that time is long gone. Make sure you don't bring your car here, I am not being biased or hateful, just don't want anybody waiting two months on their car (still not ever doing the job), and spending thousands when all they are going to do is stress you out and waste your time.

I used Tom & Ed over at Lawrence and Ashland for almost 5 years. I stayed so long mostly because they were walking distance from my apartment, but also because they seemed somewhat knowledgeable if not ever friendly. That was a worthwhile trade off.
But frequent over promising and under delivering has ultimately caused me to stop using them. This in spite of offers for free oil changes & tune ups if I wrote them good Yelp reviews... Which I never did as I couldn't ethically. But now I feel it important to voice the lack of promptness.
Time and again I would ask: when can I get my car back. Time and again they would say: this afternoon. Tomorrow morning. Thursday. And time and again it was not ready. They never even apologized for the inconvenience.
When I took my car back recently with no work having been completed they asked: when can you drop it back off? I answered: you will not be seeing me or my car anymore. I can't have my time disrespected in this manner.

good evryday people here, no wifi. coffee, loaners. but goood work fair prices. benn happy 8 yhears and so my freinds. if you want a godd job, no he ha around check this place out . you will not be sorry.... im not

I do not know if you are the cheapest nor do I care. I just know you are the best shop I have ever been to. And with a 12 year old car, I have been to a few.

You repaired my car. It was half of the price that the dealer quoted me. Money is hard to find... and good mechanics are even harder.

People say you get what you pay for. Not here. You get more than what you pay for, pick up & drop off, pictures/ words that I can understand and lifetime warranties.
