        Founded in 1986, Lakefront Supportive Housing s main mission is to provide permanent supportive housing for adults and families who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Onsite social services offered include providing each tenant a case manager and property manager. In addition, Lakefront s staff and tenants advocate for increasing the supply of affordable housing and for policies that benefit the homeless. Lakefront encompasses ten buildings that provide residence for more than 1,100 tenants located in Chicago. The Sara Lee Foundation is a major sponsor of Lakefront.
