I admit that after he cleared me completely of a DUI conviction several years ago, I was dumb enough to let it happen again in my life. That being said, I did not even think twice about hiring Harold immediately with my second DUI charge. Right away he was able to save my license from being suspended for six months under the Statutory Summary Suspension. Now being that I had tested a little over.08 BAC this time (and again that it was my 2nd time being charged), I knew this likely was not going to have the same outcome as my 1st case. But in the end Harold was able to have my case reduced to a reckless driving charge with the 12 month supervision period. I do strongly feel that I may not have had such favorable results with a different lawyer. Harold is a quality and affordable attorney who knows all the ins and outs of the legal system. He is very prompt, courteous, and treats his clients with utmost professionalism. From my experience I can definitely say that you are in great hands with Harold Wallin.

Burglary (Skokie):Â A client was charged with burglary after being arrested in a parking lot.Â He was accused of breaking into a vehicle and stealing items.Â During cross-examination of the arresting police officers, discrepancies were shown between the testimony and reports, and a Skokie judge found the client not guilty.Â A co-defendant had plead guilty immediately before trial and received a prison sentence of several years.

Mr. A. was charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and being a felon in possession of a weapon.Â The first charge is a Class 2 misdemeanor carrying a mandatory minimum three year sentence.Â The other charge is a Class 3, with a range of sentence from 2 to 10 years.Â Mr. A. claimed that he was not a felon; that a Florida case that was on his record from nearly 20 years ago was expunged.Â Mr. Wallin researched Florida law and discovered that his client had received a sentence “withholding an adjudication of guilt and placing him on probation.”Â He found a recent Florida Supreme Court opinion holding that such a sentence could not be used to enhance a weapons charge.Â There was also a Federal Court opinion that followed the Florida Supreme Court.Â Based on that, along with a showing that Mr. A. was in full compliance with the Illinois Concealed Carry law, the Cook County prosecutor agreed to dismiss the charges. Identity Theft (Markham):Â A client was charged with 41 counts of Identity Theft after he tried to use fraudulent credit cards at a south suburban store.Â Mr. Wallin argued that the client was illegally stopped and searched and the Markham Judge agreed, throwing out all of the evidence that was obtained.Â The State’s Attorney dismissed the case after the court’s ruling.
