Canton Regio

Seeking the "Old Nuevo Leon" we visited Canton Regio. I will not lie to you, on first appearance, we were disappointed it did not host the old menu of many long time favorites (our family has decades of patronage). But we stayed to sample the new menu.

OMG! What a revelation of fabulous FLAVOR! I had the half roasted chicken. The chicken had a moist and tender. It was not over seasoned, not greasy (as many commercially made roasted chicken can be) . The presentation was jaw dropping. It came served in a stainless steel scale basket propped on an iron rack. The skewers too had their custom presentation, dangling them from a three prong iron stand. The sides are classic Mexican sides rich in flavor. Homage to the old Nuevo LeonL tradition of Nuevo Leon to give you a small appetizer (antojito) while you looked at your menu., I would certainly visit Canton Regio again with my finger licking good game-on! PS, try the flan too! WOW!!!
