My name is Melissa Schmittle. i opened Yazmon's Friend's in 2009. I've worked in child care for 10 years and love it. It has always been my dream to open a family home child care. As a family child care provider, my goal is to provide a safe and happy place for children where they can learn and grow physically, emotionally, intellectually, and socially at their own pace. I believe chilren learn through play and benefit from a stuctred yet flexible schedule. Activities will be offered which stimulate sensory motor development, language development and social interaction. The development of strong self-esteem is also a major goal. Children will be taught to respect eachother, adults, and property. I am certified in CPR, First Aid, and SIDS.There will also be monthy fire drills to help teach the children what to do in case of a fire. Yazmon's Friend's is also a 3 star child care working to be a 5 star.
