Golden puppy broken jaw

Dr. Queck did an amazing job fixing our Golden Retriever puppy's jaw. She and her staff kept us informed and the staff were alway kind and patient when I asked questions. Dr. Queck and her staff were there for us and our puppy thru the whole experience. I will recommend her to any pet owner that needs dental procedures.

I have known Dr. Queck for 24 yrs. She has an excellent clinic. Have had 2 dogs and they have always gotten excellent care at her clinic from all the staff. I've recommended Carolinas Animal Hospital to several people.

EXCELLENT VETS!!!!

We have had the most wonderful experiences with Dr. Chambers and everyone at Carolinas Animal Hospital. Dr. Chambers was our vet for our first canine kid, Heather. When we got Abby, we knew this was where we would take her. Dr. Chambers is an incredible vet!! I highly recommend this animal clinic and hospital!!!!

Excellent Care

In 2009, I had to take my Tripod to have a root canal done and found Dr Gleason to be a very compassionate and very knowledgeable re up to date medical care. At that time, I only needed care for Hoppy. The end of July 2013, I realized Kati, my clustering epileptic MDR1 collie had a slab fracture of a molar that included 2 roots. Dr Gleason explained that this would not be a simple extraction and Kati would have to be put under for several hours for the trays nd the procedure.

I am so pleased with the level of service my Sammy received from Dr. Chambers and his staff. My original vet who has been taking care of Sam since he was a baby had left to pursue his own practice and now is too far away from our home. I felt since he was no longer there it was time to find a vet closer to my home. I called Carolinas Animal Hospital and we felt right at home immediately upon arrival for his first visit. The icing on the cake is that I no longer have to take him to PetSmart for grooming (which was more convenient for me than traveling to the old vet). Carolinas grooming care is excellent. I can tell the difference in my dogs demeanor when I picked him up from his first bath compared to PetSmart. Dr. Chambers is an outstanding doctor and I would recommend their services to anyone looking for vet office.

Stay away from this vet!! It h...

Stay away from this vet!! It has taken me over a month since losing our precious little 3.5 lb Yorki "Stang" to be able to sit down and write this review of our experience with Carolina Animal Hospital & Dental Clinic. My husband and I moved to the Charlotte area back in August of this year. Little Stang had dental issues in the past and so my husband took Stang to this Vet due to their specialty for a check-up and it was concluded that he had yet another tooth problem that was going to require extraction. On October 24th, 2012, Stang was taken in for what we thought would be a routine tooth extraction, (several teethe pulled in the past by his Vet in Southport, NC and had no problems, also had been put under anesthesia in the past for another procedure). Our little Stang was taken in at 8:00 in the morning and at 10:00 the Vet called my husband and said there had been complications when Stang was put under and his heart had stopped...My husband immediately called me and I was devastated, but was able to pull myself together enough to call the Vet to find out what had happened. Dr. Queck spoke with me on the phone and relayed what had happened and I told her I would be there immediately, his heart was beating about once every 10 seconds at that time. When my husband and I arrived, it was confirmed to us that our baby had died. Dr. Queck came in to see us and told us how sorry she was and that they had already performed an autopsy on him, yes they had already cut my baby open to try to determine if he had a heart condition, which he didn't. I spent a few minutes with my baby to say good-by and apologized to him for taking him to this vet. I requested that he be cremated and asked them if I owed them anything on my way out and they told me no. When I returned two weeks later to pick his ashes up, i received a $879.00 bill for what they did to my dog!! I was livid and they immediately got Dr. Queck to speak to me. I told her that I knew that they did not intentionally kill my dog, but there was obviously a mistake made and that I hoped that they would learn from this so that it would not happen to another animal, I also told her I was appalled by the amount of the bill, given the outcome. Her comment to me was that she was glad that one of her younger Vets had not performed the procedure that ended in the death of our dog and that she had not run the bill up on me. I have since learned from comparing records from when Stang had been put under for tooth extraction previously, he was given way too much medication to be put under for a dog of his size. The $879.00 included the medicine they gave him that killed him, the medicine they gave him to try to bring him back, the autopsy including a pathology test which I did not ask for and also the cremation, which was $250.00. My husband and I chose this vet because of there specialty and the amount of money it was going to cost to have one tooth pulled was not an issue. I would gladly pay any amount to have my little guy back, but that can't happen. I am writing this review so that whomever reads that is considering this vet, to think more than twice before taking your beloved pet to this Vet. I am confident now what killed my dog on October 24th and it was a MISTAKE made by this Vet! Oh and by the way, against my better judgement, I paid the $879.00 bill on the day that I picked Stang's ashes up, because I was sure that they would send a collection agency after me.. My husband and I are still grieving over the loss of our sweet little guy who was only 6 years old. I hope this review will help to prevent the heart break that we continue to feel from our loss....

Never thought wer would have to bring our Westie puppy into a doggie dentist, but after our regular vet identified out an issue with her lower canines, we took her to see Dr. Duncan and 4 weeks later, all the issues have been resolved! Dr. Duncan and the staff did a great job in caring for Lucy, explaining the options and aftercare followup. We even decided to have Lucy spayed by Dr. Chambers at the same time she had here dental procedure. Lucy now has a beautiful smile :) and her teeth are growing in properly.

Carolina's animal hospital

This is our first dog and after searching online for hours trying to find a vet we choose Carolina's animal hospital because they had amazing reviews! Everyone is very helpful. We took our dog in for a check up and found the service to be outstanding! We will certainly continue to bring our dog to Carolina's animal hospital for future visits!

I can't say enough about the entire staff. They are all very kind and caring people that treat all of my fur kids as one of their own. I trust that they provide the best care possible. From the time I walk in the door to the time I leave, we are always treated with respect and compassion. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I have known Dr. Chambers for ...

I have known Dr. Chambers for over 20 years. He is the most knowledgeable, compassionate vet that I have ever met. He provides his cell number in case of emergency. One Sunday I had to call him because my 16 year old Cocker Spaniel, Bernie, had a stroke. It was time for Bernie to go to heaven and I didn't want a stranger at an emergency hospital sending him off. . Dr. Chambers met me at the clinic (on a Sunday morning) and sent him to heaven. He was so kind and understanding. I was so grateful. Dr. Chambers cares for the health needs of all three of my dogs and I trust him completely. One of my dogs was abused as a puppy and she found a friend (Tiffany) at Carolinas Animal Hospital. Tiffany spent a lot of time getting to know Bernice and gaining her trust. As long as Tiffany is around, Bernice doesn't mind visiting the animal hospital. Recently, Bernice had to have 24 teeth removed. Dr. Duncan was the surgeon. She was fabulous, too. She did such a wonderful job. I am pleased to mention that Bernice is recovering nicely. The entire staff at this animal hospital are like family to me. Everyone is so friendly and they go out of their way to be helpful. There is no doubt that they provide the very best care for every pet. When they say, "They treat their pets as if they are their very own," it's true. I believe this is the best animal hospital in North Carolina-not just Charlotte. The staffs' professionalism, knowledge, compassion, kindness and friendliness can not be beat. When I saw that someone gave them a one star rating, I was shocked. That customer must have made a mistake and reviewed the wrong animal hospital because Carolinas Animal Hospital and Dental Clinic deserve the highest number of stars possible. They are the BEST.

I have been taking my pets to Dr. Chambers for more than ten years. He has been wonderful to them and to me and I would never consider going any place else. He has gone above and beyond and has even taken a call or two from me on his time away from work when I have had a particular worry. He has never taken advantage of me or a situation by suggesting services that I don't need and I trust him completely. The rest of the staff is also amazing. They are always very nice and eager to help when needed. I think this practice is defintely top notch and I would recommend it to anyone.

We initially took our dogs to the Carolinas Animal Hospital & Dental Clinic for location convenience when relocating to the Charlotte area. However, this office is more than just convenient even now that we've moved 10 miles further out. Both Drs. Chambers & Gleason and all the support staff have treated us and our dogs with respect and always the best TLC. For the last two years, we've taken our animals in for their regular checkups & surgeries as well as teeth cleaning & extraction. Their compassion speaks volumes when our pets enjoy walking in the door. We love the atmosphere of the office (inviting, clean, good-smelling) and attitude (friendly, knowledgeable) of the staff each team we visit and have never considered another business for the care of our furry family members.

Dr Gleason and the staff at Carolinas Animal Hospital & Dental Clinic are the best. They took exceptional care of our pet and I feel went above and beyond the call of duty. Dr Gleason had to fix our dogs fractured jaw, she explained everything she was going to do and with the follow-up visits she treated us like we were family. She gave me her email address in case I had any concerns after hours, a couple times I did email her and she got right back to me. You can see in all her words and actions how much she loves and cares about your pet and you! I would recommend them to everyone I know. You and your pet will be in great hands at Carolinas Animal Hospital & Dental Clinic. I couldn't thank them enough for all the tender loving care they gave our Peanut!

Extreme Care

Dr. Queck did a wonderful job taking care of my dog's dental problems. My dog had numerous dental issues that Dr. Queck handled with care and took the time to examine my dog while she was under to make sure there was nothing else that need to be addressed. She found a small tumor that she felt should be removed so as not to have to put my dog under at another time. I appreciate the whole staff's kindness, concern and care. I will be going to Carolina Animal office even for my dog's routine visits!! They were a blessing!!!

World class service

The doctors at Carloina's Animal Hospital and Dental Clinic, Dr. Marguerite Gleason in particular, are like angels sent from heaven. Thanks to Dr. Gelason's intuition and attention to detail, I will have my best friend and companion in my life for a lot longer. It is very difficult to have a sick pet, but Dr. Gleason and her staff were so compassionate and comforting during our ordeal that I felt like I was surrounded by friends who really cared about my dog and her well-being.

I have lived in many states (and 3 other countries) and in all of my years of owning pets and going to vets, I have never found one who even compares to Dr. Gleason. Her expertise, warmth, confidence and humor make you feel instantly at ease knowing that she has everything under control. Dr. Gleason and her staff have my highest recommendation. You will be so pleased to have them on your side...

I especially really appreciate Dr. Gleason's advice in taking care of all my pets. They actually like to go see her. She has done dental work on several of my animals and the difference in their teeth is amazing. I would recommend this office to everyone.
