The worst place to take your vehicle.Very unprofessional.It is an insurance scam.They take the money and don't do the job.I just hope one day someone will do something about this place.

My experience at Sterling was pretty exceptional. I live in York, SC when a representative contacted me about getting my 2016 Jeep Cherokee repaired. I live by myself in the country and they came out to my house and made it hassle free for me since they picked up the vehicle. When the vehicle was ready they also came to my house and picked me up to get the Jeep because I did not have a ride. They did all the contacting of the insurance company and got the adjuster out there so that also helped. I don't have any complaints on the quality of the work as well.

If you are considering Sterling, PLEASE.. DON'T. JUST DON'T. Save yourself the headache and save your money! The 1000 character limit for this review wouldn't begin to describe my experience with them after 20+ days. Although my vehicle is now back in my possession, with everything I went through with them IT WAS NOT WORTH IT, AT ALL. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere, anywhere but this place . I read their reviews initially and went against my judgement to still give them a chance. HUGE MISTAKE. In short, the bad reviews they have received are 100% true, their "assistance" is everything but that, beware of their "hidden fees" for processing, &the entire staff Toni, Rae, Bernard, Evan are dishonest, and blatantly misleading but oh how pleasant they are on the phone whenever someone decides to answer . Their customer service is null and void= THEY HAVE 0. As a professional,hard working class woman, dissatisfied is a drop in the bucket &an honest review is ZERO STARS

This Auto Body is the worst place I have ever been to. I will never use them again. They are a bunch of scam artists. The "office manager" is a coward. She doesn't know anything about what she is doing. She is horrible! The representatives suck, they took a month to repair a side of my car. They screwed up my rental information for extensions on a rental since they took a month to fix my car. Then, they told me 5 different pick up dates and then bailed out on me on those days saying it still wasn't ready. Then, they had me drop off my rental car, only for me to find out my car still was not ready. PLEASE, IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR AN AUTO BODY SHOP, STEER CLEAR OF THESE FOOLS. Save your time, effort and money. They are scammers.

Please Listen to me when I tell you, Keep out!!!
This place is a complete joke. They will call you when they receive your incident report in the system,and try to lure you in by telling you they will put you on a rental at no charge to you and they will come and pick up your car from where ever you are. And the rest is history. Just so you know if you're not at fault the insurance company of the at fault driver has to put you in a rental for free; so don't think they are hooking you up when they tell you you'll be put on a rental while your car is getting fixed. This place looks like a chop chop it is in the worst area in Charlotte in a very sketchy location. My car came out of there with missing parts, and all they could tell me was that they never worked on that part of my car that they weren't responsible. after my car had been under their watch for the past three weeks.
So overall very bad experience, I will be doing my homework next time. Trust online ratings!!! Please!!!!!!!!

Had someone from the this company call me I was skeptical at first because of the previous reviews written but I still took a chance with them, and the service was really good, they came picked up my car and even got me a rental at no cost to me. Once my car was completed I looked better now than it did before the accident. Now it did take longer than expected but other than than everything else was perfect. And one thing I really liked is they don't use aftermarket parts they were all Ford parts from the dealership. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

On Mon I received a call from Gary stating that he was calling to schedule to pick up my car to take to the body shop. I asked him if he was with the dealership and he stated that they sent him the info.!He came and picked up the car, 6/27. The ins adj called me on 6/30 and stated that the appraiser attempted to go out to Sterling & was told that they were closed 6/30 through the 7/6. I called the dealership and asked them if they had sent Sterling Paint to get my car and they said no. I went to their address and called the cops and advised that I had every right to take my car.My car had 93 miles on it before he took the car. From my location to their shop it is a total of 15.8 miles, so there should have only been 108.8 miles when I got my car however it had 182 miles on it. They trying to file lien request for $2750. They didn't tow my car.They never spoke with insurance so why did they have parts and then they closed and want me to pay storage I will be requesting a formal hearing.

I've read a lot of the reviews on here, so I was more than a little skeptical when I was contacted by this company.
However, I took a chance on them, and I'm so glad I did. From beginning to end they did exactly what they said they were going to do. They're service could use a little tightening up as far as more prompt status updates, but the work and people I dealt with were great.

These "people" are really vultures. They scan recent accident reports, call the people involved and pose as insurance adjusters. Once the confusion has cleared, after about a week and the unsuspecting person has figured out what's going on, they've racked up several hundred dollars in storage and "administrative" fees. THIS is the only way this place stays in business. And by the way, one of the reviewers "Edwina", who gave this business 5 stars, works there! On an occasion when I called I spoke directly to her. Also notice that all three of the 5 star reviews were left on the same day. So they're shady and dumb. They will go out of business for their shady business practices because I'm going to get in touch with the CMPD's fraud division. Posing as an insurance adjuster is against the law.

Such a shady and dishonest business. My mother and her husband are elderly and played upon their trust. They believed that this company was from their insurance company. They deliberately deceived them and when I called them to inform them of the misunderstanding they refused to release the vehicle unless they paid them $400. I mean I just can't believe a company would be this shady and still be allowed to be in business.

Sterling Paint & Body is amazing. Even though they are based out of Charlotte they still work the areas around. I live in Gastonia and there no other body shop that does what they do. They were so helpful throughout the whole process and I will definitely be recommending them to others in need of repairs.

I got into an accident,the other driver was at fault,so i have to deal with their insurance.I get a call from a claims adjuster who says she works with the insurance company.They come to my house to pick up my car and drive me to the rental place to pick up a rental car.They say that they file an extention on the rental after a day so i keep the car until the car estimate and repair is done.That is a lie,they did not file for an extention and now i have to pay a late fee.We went to the car to pick up the vehicle,they will not release it.By the time all was said and done it was around 4:50pm.So i said okay went to pay them...the lady said they only accept checks from the bank or cash...no personal checks or no debit or credit cards.So the officer asked if they could wait minutes while we ran down the street to get cash to pay them,they said no they are closing at exactly 5:00 pm on the dot.So our grand total will be 430.00We will be taking them to court.If i could give no stars i would.

Sterling called my son from a police report number. They told my son that our insurance USSA told them to call my son and fix the car. Sterling took over 16 days to fix a headline and rear view mirror. They charged us a $300.00 admin fee to start the job and a $45.00 a day storage fee. They did not tell us that they charged these kind of fees. When the car was finished..Sterling held the car hostage until they received the check from USAA for their part of the bill. $750.00. My son and I were charged $575.00 for out part of the bill. he car was held hostage for five days while they waited for the USAA check. In the mean time, my son did not have a car. Sterling did not care. I am a dis-abled veteran and I am sixty years old. I have never been ripped off like this in my life. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM STERLING PAINT & BODY. This company will rip you off and laugh about it when you drive away. They are thieves and should be flagged as business to STAY AWAY FROM.
