Dilworth Nail Salon

I recently visited this establishment after reading the overall good online reviews. I must say that I was completely disappointed with the less than desirable customer service rendered. During my initial call, I was advised by an employee to make an appointment due to the possible wait time that would result from being a walk-in. I heeded to her advice and scheduled an appointment in advance. While driving to the salon, I experienced difficulty finding the exact location and called to speak with an employee for assistance. This resulted in a less than 5 mins late arrival for the appointment. Upon walking into the building, I was never greeted by any of the staff; instead I experienced blank stares and total denial of my presence. Despite this, I decided to view the polish selection on my own and was later approached during this time by a somewhat disgruntled looking nail technician who inquired about the reason I was there. I explained that I was the 3:00 appointment; however I was never told what the expected wait time would be. I waited for over 20 minutes before deciding to leave the salon. As I approached the door, the same rude nail tech decided to inquire about why I was leaving. Being a first time potential customer, I walked away with the sense that the employees here have no regard for treating ALL customers with dignity and respect. I was of no importance to this establishment until they saw dollar signs walking out of the door. I felt that I gave them multiple opportunities to recover after they made such a horrible first impression. I will NEVER patronize this place again. Running a business is about so much more than having the skills to perform the service. Understanding Good Customer Service is so very important. I hope that other potential customers find this useful and never experience the same thing that I did.
