Will always get my hair done at aabies

Going to aabies has been the best thing I have done. I go there to get braids done and they have so many varieties that I can choose from with very good prices. Aabies has offered me great service, no need for appointments and they are open from 7 am until 12 midnight which is very convenient.

Last time I'm going to Aabies!

I've been a long time customer with Aabies..almost 3 years and the reviews are very true. The place is not clean and the staff is very unprofessional and its not a "salon experience" at all. The prices change every time you come. I recently got my hair done on a week ago. I asked for a sew in. They do have a big selection of hair but for some reason, after trying 4 or 5 different kinds of hair, they either didn't have the color I needed (1B) or the length I wanted. I finally found hair that was fine. After getting my hair sewed in, the braider told me that the style would last for approx 8 weeks and she mentioned that it was human hair and I could curl it, style it and I only needed a little oil sheen and mousse to maintain it. I paid the $180 plus a $10 tip and was on my way. Well, within 2 days my hair was ONE BIG MASS MESS. Long story short, they had given me synthetic hair as a sew in. My hair looks like a witch's Halloween wig you buy from a costume store. It looks so bad I can hardly stand to go out in public. Aabies advised if I want it re-done, I pay full price all over again and pick a different hair..that's crazy. Needless to say, that's it for me..my friends have been telling me for months now to stop going to them. Well, I'm going to a different shop this weekend to get this MESS taken out of my hair and get a different sew in. This synthetic hair is just straight tangles, and its shedding like crazy. I can't even run my fingers through it AT ALL, not even an inch. Its like a glob of tangles.

The quality of their hair has gone down hill over the months..either bring your own or go somewhere else. Try Bignon's Hair. I went their once and they are 180 degree turn around from Aabies and

WILL DAMAGE YOUR HAIR WITH NO REMORSE!

I recently went to Aabies to get a sew in and had the worse experience ever! Although they ask you what style or what you want done to your head, they will do what THEY WANT TO DO! I returned to the Aabies African braiding on 5430 N. Tryon Street, Ste 14, Charlotte NC 28213, because of the extreme pain from the sew in! First they were trying to say "just put some grease on it" but after I insisted they do something about it the lady (Mou) proceeded to fix the problem. Little did I know her solution was CUTTING THE TWO BRAIDS SHE HAD SEWED TOGETHER! This left both braids break off from my scalp, hense leaving the two areas BALD! They never appoligized and would not give me the information to contact Aabie, but instead gave me a very nasty attitude about the matter. The lady would not give me her name so I took a picture of her! One of the other braiders gave me the name Mou (which was probably made up) I would not recommend anyone to try Aabies!

AWFUL

The customer service here is absolutely awful. And the braids arent all that great either. The 100 dollar braids look like frickin box braids. DO NOT GO HERE save your money. Also there is some weird man who walks around looking over your shoulder yelling at the braiders. And the place looks like a sweat shop its dirty and the real micro braids are overpriced.

Micro Braids

I just got back to Charleston from Aabies on north tryon st. My parents stay in chalotte and I've always heard the advertising for 100.00 micro braids. This was the first time i have had my hair braided. When I got there they took me to the hair room so I could select my hair. I was shown the size of the braids and was told the price included hair. I was fine with the size because they were small but not too small but I want human hair that I could curl. After negoitiationg a few minutes we agreed on a price. I had two braiders and I was back on the highway in 3 hours!!!!! Was I was there a girl came in with a coupon she printed from their website. I inquired a back the coupon because I wanted to know if I could get one. The coupon gave a gas discount for any people coming to abies from out of town. The braider told me to go online and print one for my next visit. After everything was done and I went to pay, I told the owner how pleased I was and have far I came to get them. Do you know the owner (I think she was) gave me the 10.00 gas discount???? I will definately be back in two months. This place is good and they appreciate their customers.

Save your Money

This place is TERRIBLE. I drove 2 1/2 hours thinking I was getting a good deal on micros..and it was so NOT worth the drive. I called the day prior to leaving to find out the size of the micros and was told that they were the average size...when I get there, the braids for $100 are the size of your pinky finger. We had to wait almost an hour before they decided to show up for work on Sunday August 18th...if you say 7 days, then you should be there 7 days a week. The hair that was used is VERY cheap and it tangles and doesn't have any life to it.. I WILL NEVER VISIT THIS PLACE AGAIN...DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

FAST!!!!!!!!

I was a bit skeptical going in this morning, after reading all of the reviews on the web.....but i wanted to still try it, I mean you can't judge something before trying it....so i went in around 9 this morning....and the girl was really nice to me. We picked up the hair and everything. there was two girls on my hair. before i knew it, it was over. and it looked so good!!!!!! I have had 3 people already tell me that they like my hair, that's how good it looks. I am just in love in my hair. All i have to say about the bad reviews is that just try it for yourself.
