Cold-brewing for 18 hrs. produces a lighter-bodied tea with less astringency and bitterness, as this method draws out a fewer tannic compounds, which is great for a mellow, even sweet, iced tea. Without the need of boiling it produces no carbon footprint as well. We use a loose leaf tea blend and it is sweetened with cane sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup. The OG Arizona Sushi Burrito. “The traditional Hawaiian poke bowl gets a modern twist at this hip Chandler outpost, serving customizable bowls and sushi burritos (wraps) with ahi, salmon, cooked shrimp and tako, served from a counter in bright digs with white subway tiles and playful wall art.” -Zagat We are FOOD addicts and love to try foods from different cultures/regions and when we visited Hawaii for a couple of our vacations, we came across poke and fell in love! When we came back stateside and our cravings started to kick in, we searched and searched for an alternative and found none. Another option was to mimic it at home, however, we could never quite get it to that elusive “Ono” status. However, during those test runs, we experimented/came upon multiple recipe ideas that we liked and then we began further trials and tests and we wanted to bring it to market in Arizona and put our stamp on it. We poki-sized it! In addition to bringing you Poke, we are the first restaurant to introduce the customizable Sushi Burrito in Arizona! We call it the ‘Poke Wrap’. We do not focus on all the variety we can provide but we focus more in the quality raw ingredients and fish we can provide. Not everything is about quantity, we choose quality over quantity any day. Even if it is something different, if it is not of good quality we would rather not present it to our customers. #qualityoverquantity #moreisnotbetter #betterisbetter. What we are not: We are not a franchise. What we are: We are a small local shop. We are locals who graduated from ASU. We try to support local companies by partnering with them and bringing products made in Arizona such as Cold Press coffee and Simple Soda. Also, we work with companies that provide us with fresh sustainable, sushi grade, fish from Hawaii. Never frozen!
