Established in 1863, Children's Home is a residential care facility that provides long- and short-term services to youth who have experienced abuse, neglect, violence and abandonment. Located in Catonsville, Md., Children's Home is a nonprofit and charitable facility that provides therapeutic programs to children. Its programs and activities provide an opportunity for the children to attend public schools and develop self-esteem. Children's Home consists of a long-term residential program for boys and girls of 8 and 20 years of age. It offers an emergency shelter for girls who need immediate removal from their present living situations. Children's Home provides a treatment foster care program that offers temporary, specialized care to youth with behavioral, social and emotional problems.
