Took both of my dogs here for the weekend. I was extremely nervous as it was their first time being kenneled anywhere, and I'd spent several days calling every kennel in the area to find they were mostly rude or never returned my calls. However, CharLyn did an amazing job, even allowing them to stay together so my timid dog could be comforted by the more confident one.The kennels are clean and temperature controlled, and the prices are more than fair. The dogs are played with(and not in a large group where one is more than likely to end up in a fight) and snuggled while they stay also-my little one fell in love with them, giving kisses as we left. They obviously love dogs and love what they do. So thankful we chose Char Lyn!

I highly recommended this place for the following reasons:

1.The kennel is very clean, a/c in summer and heated in winter

2. Large fenced in yard, they don't walk the dogs, the dog/s are run freely

3. They don't have "group play' while most other kennel do. I don't really agree to the practice of group playing where they just mix some dogs in one play area. If you visit your local vet, talk to them and ask how many dogs came to their facility from the result of group playing. This kennel will socialize your dog per your request as long as they have matching personality on board at the same time. Lynda is the owner of charlynn kennels is a wonderful person to talk to and she is also a certfied behavior trainer.

4. The most important reason why I choose this kennel is I own 1 Doberman, 1 pit bull mix and 3 Lhasa Apso. When I moved in to this area years ago, I desperately tried to find a kennel that can accept my dobby and pit all the answer I received was NO because they are considered "bully/dangerous" which is absolutely nonsense. On top of that one of my lhasa needs medication every 3-4 hrs from 7 am till 11 pm. Other kennels will charge me arms and legs that if they can do it to take care of him until one my friends in the Carlisle Army work college advice me to take my dogs to Charlynn Kennels where they board their dogs too. Oh what a relief ! The staff in that kennel welcome my dogs and they DO NOT charge extra for medication even till 11 PM ! everything included in their rate! They even give free bath after 7 days stay. I just simply love them.



Everytime my dogs board with them, they always come back so happy and clean. Thank you Lynda, Jodie and all the staff for your wonderful care of the animals.

I bring my dogs to this kennel for almost 8 years now. I own 3 labs. Every single time I board my dogs, they always come back happy and clean. I recommend if you are questioning the kennel, to visit the kennel, speak to the people there and make your own decision.

The staff know her by name and love her like she's their dog... She gets plenty of time to run and play in the yard. The kennel is clean and you even get a free bath after a weeks stay... They also offer grooming. As of July 2008 they don't charge extra for medication or special dietary needs. Their food is provided in the daily charge but I bring my own so as not to get my dog off her regular schedule. She's always happy to see me but I know the staff takes great care of her!!! I highly recommend Char-Lyn as they are breeders of Brittany Spaniels and Pomeranians and they know big and little dogs.... All dogs are welcome at Char-Lyn Kennels... Woofs to all and make sure you mention Charlotte recommended you to the kennel....
