El Charro

Visited my brother in Pleasanton KS. He had me follow him to El Charro. 20 mi out of my way. I am GLAD! The salsa was spicy without a lot of lingering heat. Hint of garlic. I ordered the huevos y chorizo. (scrambled eggs with spicy sausage) Big portion, very tasty. The tortillas were hot & tasty. Beans were mixed mashed & whole with I think Chihuahua? cheese melted over them-yummmm. Rice wasn't too dry or too spicy or had pieces or corn or tomato in it. Chips were ok. There were four of us & we tasted each others dishes. I also liked the Shrimp (taco) salad & the crab enchilada. They'd never heard of my dish but they said they'd try it again. The wait staff was very efficient & friendly. They'll sing their version of happy birthday & you have to wear a sombrero. The next time I go down to see him, I hope we can go back to El Charro.
