Eastern Car Service

Have used zEastern for about 12 years. Maybe 1 negative experience in all that time. Cannot even remember what actually happened. Have occasionally tried a couple of other Car Services in Brooklyn, but they do not come close to this company. Drivers always come and help me if I ask them as I am now 83 years old.

Was charged extra "toll booth fees" by driver through Verrazano bridge ($28 instead of $17). On confronting driver he mumbled unintelligible words (by second passenger and I) even after pulling up toll on google and showing him the charge. Driver also ASKED for a tip (intelligible this time) when asked for explanation of charges. Asked driver for receipt and he said "I cannot do that." I called the service number and explained to operator the extra charges. This person agreed that I should not have been charged that much for tolls and placed me on hold (without asking as I would not have wanted to wait on the phone - I only wanted to report the driver. After an approximate 3 - 5 minute wait on phone the operator returns stating that he had spoken with the driver and that I should not have been charged explain that the driver's excuse was that he also charged for the toll to drive TO the airport. As I was telling operator that I was not pleased with this and was going to leave a review he said "OK, you do that" and hang up the phone.

The cars are clean, the drivers are professional, and they are the most punctual in the Slope. Eastern Car Service is the best.

Eastern is the best! I have always used them and have had no problems. I guess if you are looking for high luxury service then look elsewhere, but you do get your buck's worth. Every time is a new experience. I love NYC!

They are reliable. They pick you up on time and there is no long wait. I've used their service couple of times.

We love these guys! Quick service, good rates, nice cars & drivers plus they have car seats of all sizes available for an additional $5 per trip. They are reliable for airport drop-offs and pick-ups and I love that they send a text message confirming your reservation so you are not left wondering if someone is actually coming for you.

I called a cab for a 5am pick up taking me from Flatbush to LaGuardia. The woman on the phone was very helpful and nice. They immediately sent me a text message confirming my pick up time, location and price (which was very reasonable compared to other car services). They then texted me again at 4:30 to confirm a driver was on the way, and at 4:55am to let me know he was downstairs. Eastern was very reliable, well priced, and I will definitely use them again in the future.

Very easy to book and they were right on time. They came with an infant car seat for just $5 extra, which made it very convenient for us to get to the airport with our baby. Our driver Luis was very nice and helpful.

We used Eastern Car Service to get us from Morningside Heights to JFK, with our little girl (1yo). Service was excellent. We called appr. 3 hours prior to the pickup time and the driver was there exactly at that time. As ordered there was a child seat and space enough for all the luggage. We were nicely on time for our flight home.
If you need a cab to JFK with a small child, don't hesitate to call ECS.
Our driver was a bit on the fast side at some points, but I guess it still depends on the driver. Some will drive faster than others..

I asked to be picked up at 3 pm, and my driver was right on time -- however, I was not. I wasn't ready until about 3:15 pm, and I apologized to my driver when he called at 3, but he said it was okay and he'd just get a coffee. When I was ready to go I gave him a call and he was already outside waiting. He was super nice and friendly.

I find that they're pretty reliable.

I use this car service anytime I go to JFK or Laguardia from Brooklyn, and often when coming back from the airport as well. I book ahead online and the drivers have always been on time, very polite and driven me safely and quickly to my destination. I really appreciate the reliability.

Used for the first time and was perfectly fine. Booked online, got email confirmation and email with driver info shortly before my pickup. A little cheaper than Carmel, which I normally used.

My experience with Eastern was great. After vacationing in NYC, we called for a ride from Carroll Gardens to JFK just a few days before our return flight. We received a confirmation text within minutes. They texted us again on the day of our reservation to let us know what vehicle to look for, and to give us the driver's cell number. We were thrilled to find he'd arrived a few minutes early. Although he was unshaven and was wearing a scruffy white T-shirt, he was an excellent driver and very personable. The car was nice and clean (Toyota Highlander) and the ride back to JFK was very relaxing -- MUCH better than the death ride we had in a cab from the airport when we arrived a week earlier. He didn't do any crazy driving, and we enjoyed classical music all the way to the airport. The driver said the normal fare was $35, but it would be $45 for us because of all the luggage we had. I didn't mind as it was still a better deal than the crummy yellow cab. I would definitely call them again.

I much appreciate the quick turn around and the great customer service. I travel a lot with work so will definitely be calling them again.

I needed a car service to pickup myself and a colleague for very early in the morning this past weekend. Not only were they on time, but they opened the door for us and were very polite. We received a text letting us know the name of the driver and a phone call when he arrived at my door.

This is one cab company I would go back to if I needed them again in the future.

Nice features: they send you text message updates including the driver's cell phone number in case you can't find them.
