I have been looking for a good bead store for a while now. I was really excited when I discovered that Breezy's Beads was only a couple miles from my home. However, I was a bit hesitant about going there after reading the some of the negative reviews about children not being allowed in the store. I am a single mom, and my three year old son goes everywhere with me. I can't exactly hire a babysitter for a 20 min trip to the bead store. I decided to go see for myself what this place was like, and whether or not it was true that children were not allowed in their store. When we entered the store the women greeted us and were very friendly. I asked them if it was okay that I had brought my son with me, as I was unsure after reading those negative comments from other customers. They were very kind, and told me that it was no problem that I had brought my son with me. They told me that they welcomed children in their store, and even had an area that children could sit and play with toys or draw pictures while their parents shopped. I think many of the negative comments must have come from people that don't pay attention to their children while they are shopping, and let them run wild and pick up everything. Needless to say, beads are an obvious choking hazard to small children. So don't be completely oblivious to your children and their behavior if you plan on thaking them there. They had an excellent assortment of beads, and their prices were incredibly affordable. You can purchase individual beads, or strands of beads. We will definately be going back there again. The ladies in the store were very friendly and helpful. My son and I had a great experience.
I started beading over a year ago. I was recommended Breezy's Beads as the go to shop from a customer in of all places "Joann's". They have a large variety of beads, very reasonable prices. Work stations are available, with beading boards and tools available for you to use. They are very helpful assisting me with my purchases, asking specific questions about what I am trying to create so that I do not purchase unnecessary items. I have a 3 year old have bring him shopping with me most of the time. The ladies there are WONDERFUL to my son! They greet him by his name, talk to him while we are shopping. He loves going to the " bead store". This is a specialty store and should be treated as such! I highly recommend this store to both the novice beader and the old pros.
Not a place to go if you want to do this with your children. After reading other reviews, IMATWIN2, I'm guessing this is the owner. Responce to her is it takes time for children to lean the look but don't touch rule, but we are talking about a hands on craft here. The children could be the reason why one would be shopping at this type of facility. I suggest, get a clue.
Absolutely beautiful shop! I have never beaded before, but I went into Brezzys Beads with an idea in my head that I had been thinking about for a while for my wedding. The ladies here went above and beyond telling me all of the things necessary in order to make my "image" come to life. I was beyond thrilled once I was finished with my project! Debbi was extremely helpful when it came to designing it based on what I told her. They even offered me lunch while I was there! If I ever get addicted like the other ladys are in there, Brezzys will for SURE be my #1 bead store! good job girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey mother of twins, happened to be there along with about 10 to 15 other customers.
While you had your back to your precious darlings, they had their hand all in the bead bins spilling beads
on the floor and mixing them in the adjecent bins( which the girls had to pick up and separate after you
left), hands all over strands of beads on the display tables. One of the gals VERY politely went to your
daughter and said " here baby can I have that" when your daughter took a pair of Crystal earrings off a
display. Another gal was very helpful to your assisting your with finding what you were looking for. Then
you pass a comment loud enough to hear, asking your son not to touch the beads because they don' t like
children here, I won't bring you here again.
Well mother of twins, with a broken heart, get a grip. I too am a twin, with 4 bothers and sisters, and a
loving mother of 3. Try teaching your children manners, shopping ediquite. LOOKING with your EYES, NOT your
HANDS! We were taught that principle so that we were welcomed into not only grocery stores but speciality stores
we understood things could get broken, and we did not want to be that child that did it.
All of the women that work there area very compassionate, they ususally will even entertain children while mom
shops, they have held babies, colored with kids, and even bring out Toy beads for the kids to " PLAY" with.
Cudos to the girls! I come there to relax after a long work week and it irritates me to see children do exactly
what they were doing, and far worse.Granted your kids were not running around the store, screaming show their
backsides. There are other bead shops in the area, try going there and see if your children are welcome,
I have heard of one telling them they couldn't bring children even in the store, another one makes them sit
on a chair, and has YELLED at kids for touch her beads.
BREEZY'S BEADS IS THE GREATEST!!!
This shop is the most wonderful place to bead. The "Girls" are great, They treat me like family! Prices are exceptional, quality awesome, fantastic selection. If they do not have what you are looking for they do what ever
it takes to find that product. I spend almost every Saturday there beading with my friends, I just LOVE it there!!
I was nice except for you do not need to bring your kids because they do not like kids to pick up anything. My daughter picked up something to show me and it hurt her feelings really bad when the lady took it from her before she could show me. My daughter did not do anything wrong. Unfortunately , I will not go back to this place. Kids do have feelings too.
a heart broken mother
