Montgomery County Correctional Facility works to protect and serve the citizens of Montgomery County in Maryland by providing progressive and comprehensive correctional services to inmates. The facility's current is more than 1,020 inmates. It offers Acute and chronic medical care and dental services. Montgomery County Correctional Facility also administers several therapeutic substance abuse and self-help programs. The correction facility operates the Model Learning Center, which conducts full-time educational and vocational programs. It features a full-service library and multipurpose and recreation program areas. Montgomery County Correctional Facility is a part of the Montgomery County Department of Correction and Rehabilitation, which is a civilian agency that was founded in 1972.
