Acne Treatment
Tretinoin (Retin-A) is a popular prescription choice for aging skin and acne treatment. There are 2 things to consider: 1. you must see a doctor for a prescription, 2. insurance will not cover it if it is prescribed for anti-aging. However, the main drawback is it can have strong, sometimes unbearable, side effects of peeling, redness, and irritation. This leads to discontinuation and a waste of money with no results.

The clinical studies by AviClear with 104 patients with moderate to severe acne, 80% of AviClear patients saw at least half of their acne lesions resolve by 3 months post the third treatment. 87% saw at least half of their pimples clear at six months post treatment. Also, at six months out, patients saw a 93% reduction in deep nodules which are very difficult to treat. What’s more, future breakouts were shorter and less severe.
