        Become a regular

        It's the only way to truly appreciate the place. One visit won't be enough. I am biased so take it for what it's worth. The great food is an unmatched value anywhere. I know this because of the cost the kitchen is given to work with. House made booze (1st on site Distillery/Pub in the U.S.) provides the extra cash to support this. Portions are very good to sometimes as big as Texas. Menu is extensive and easily broken down into apps, satays, entree salads, sandwiches/burgers & lastly entrees. The place is big & casual...no hosts, no reservations...ie act like you own the place...walk in and scope out the seat you want and grab it...The staff will find you so don't worry, you may be served by just one or eight people depending on the business. They are very knowledgeable and work as nice team. The Cocktail Program is tops in the city...Multiple award winning and has a menu and a Rolodex to back it up. The bartenders have all been there for years...no rookies here. Lastly, besides producing high quality Gin, Rum, Vodka & Lemon Vodka they make in house desserts like White Chocolate-Banana Bread Pudding and Creme Brulee (Flavor of the Week???) as well as Small Batch Ice Creams (Scotch or Hot Buttered Rum) spiked with booze or without (Vanilla) for the kids. It'll take you a few times of coming in before you can truly appreciate this Boise staple. I'd recommend becoming a regular like myself.

        Established in 1999. With three locations in Boise, Eagle and Coeur d'Alene that capture the spirit of Idaho and the Northwest, Bardenay Restaurant and Distillery is a cornerstone of Idaho's restaurant and bar industry. The original establishment is located in a once empty warehouse on the Historic Basque Block in downtown Boise, Idaho. On April 25th, 2000, history was made when we served the first cocktail to included spirits distilled in a restaurant in the US. As the nation's first restaurant distillery, Bardenay has set an industry precedent as the first full service restaurant and bar with the ability to create handcrafted liquor on-site. Our distillers are happy to give tours as time allows. Please ask your server if you are interested in a closer look at our operations. p.s. We are only allowed to sell our fine spirits by the drink. If you would like to purchase a bottle, you may do so at many of our state liquor stores.Established in 1999.
