I was recommended by a relative to use services at your company. I had heard several complaints against your organization but this relative assured me that they were satisfied with your services. It is my understanding that you will do paid diagnostic for customers. The first time I came to you you did just that and told me what the problem was. I went to reputable mechanic to have recommended repairs done. I was not told that if you did the diagnostics I was obligated to have you do the repairs.

I came to you again in January just for another diagnostic test because I figured you put the car on a machine for a reading and you could show me what the results were. You informed me that the company that does my oil changes put a dirty air filter on top of a clean one which was totally not true. On the work order you noted that you cleaned the filter. You never showed me the extra filter. I asked several mechanics who told me that two filters could not be placed in the car.

On Saturday, February 21, 2015 I came in because my check engine light was on. I figured I would let you put the car on the machine…couldn’t hurt. Just wanted to get a simple diagnosis. The man at the front desk, who purports to be a minister of the Gospel, was completely rude to me. He told me that his company would not touch my car again. I suppose he was upset because I did not allow your company to work on my car. I was not asking for a free diagnosis, I was paying as I always have. This man at the desk with his Bible wide open talked to me like I was a child. He told me that he would not go behind another mechanic’s work. I was only asking for paid diagnostic. He made it crystal clear that he does not want my business ever again. This was a shock because each time I have been there he had his Bible open and was even quoting scripture. He seemed to be pleasant as well as honest. He even told me how that as a woman mechanics will probably not tell me the full truth or try to rip me off. On this particular day this man seemed to have been having issues…personal ones maybe, judging from his tone. I took my car to another company and got a diagnosis much cheaper and with much better customer interaction.

I called early Monday morning to ask who I could lodge a complaint with and was told that they did not know. How ridiculous!! I believe that this was the same rude preacher.

Needless to say, I will never set foot in your establishment again and I will lodge a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and NAPA. I too work with customers and we are trained to treat each customer with dignity and respect. I think the person in the Roebuck office needs to read the Bible he has open on the front desk. Apparently he does not know how to treat others.

I would recommend you use any other repair shop in Alabama, even a shade tree mechanic before using BYOP in Roebuck. My vehicle is in worse condition now than before they touched it. It ran better with a blown head gasket than after the repairs and four return trips. Please don't waste your time and money.

I have used BYOP for years and never gotten bad service or dishonest work. They have helped me when I had my car repaired at Express Oil and Express Oil totally charged me for work that they didn't do. I took it to BYOP and they set me straight and repaired it for more than 1/2 the price of what Express Oil said I still needed. Highly recommend.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO WILLIE...

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO WILLIE SHEPHARD'S BYOP located in Robuck next to Walmart!!! I took my car in for repair and all I got were delays and they couldn't find the problem. Additionally I had to pay cash to get my car back, although, nowhere is that posted. I took my car and found the problem myself . Willie Shepherd is very unprofessional, rude and loud.

I have been on hold with these folks for the past hour. Very dishonest company. They are making me pay in cash so I don't dispute my charges. So now I have no paper trail in case they did something unethical or dishonest to my car. Disputing the charge never crossed my mind, but I will be contacting an attorney if I found out they have given me false information about the problems with my car. I would NEVER EVER recommend this place to anyone. The reasons they are able to price things so cheaply is because they screw you in other places by nickel & diming you. Not to mention they are rude & condescending. The man on the phone wouldn't even let me finish a sentence without talking over me or interrupting me

Mr. Willie S. is a great salesman (until you question him); and the service was questionable. Dropped car off Monday when they opened. Mr. Willie said they would call with an estimate in a little while. It was lunch time before he called (bad, but not terrible); and said it would be ready the next day. The next day the mechanic called at 4:30 and said they needed 2 parts in order to finish the work (+$400). No way was I going to authorize this work – plus the car was supposed to be ready that day. Mr. Willie called me back and told me to check the price. Who was I going to call @ 4:30 when you close at 5? The next day I asked if different part would work – he totally went off and said I would have to call the dealership and he would not be able to. And then he said my car was in pieces and that had to have the part in order to put it back together. I felt they were trying to pressure me. When I went to see what part was broken Mr. Willie told me I should have sent "that man" (my husband) back. He was right, because my husband told me not to take my car to them. Finally Picked the car up on Thursday, drove through WM parking lot and back to the shop – it sounded like a truck and sputted like a spark plug was loose. Mechanic pulled it in right away and took care of it. Days later back at the shop again – sounding like a truck; they said they “tied it off”. The next Friday I finally opened the hoop and realized they had really “tied it off” there was a tie down left under the hood and another part was not connected. Back at the shop again - Mr. Willie said they should have taken that out (really???). Another mecanic said the bolt was missing when I left it the first time. Mr. Willie did get them to fix it (though I have not checked). My final straw – on the way to drop off kids and the car did the same thing again – sputtin. Mr. Willie said “something else must be wrong, bring it in so we can diagnose it, but I don’t have time for this now.” Thanks Mr. Willie, but no thanks. I think I will listen to my husband this time (I would not carry it if I were you). And to be honest - I have gone to another BYOP location and received good service. This one was closer to home and I was trying to support my neighborhood. Another review mentioned how they block your car in - yes, they did that too. Two wrongs don't make a right. I really hope this place works out so they can truly represent what's on the wall and front desk.

The worst!!!

Had my car towed to the closet place from where I broke down at! And time I got our to tell this man what was going on with my car. He proceed to tell me this is not a storage unit!!! By this time I was really agitated because he was very hostile and rude upon meeting him!! After the rudeness! I leave the car any way! I tell him that the car is running hot! He tells me that it would be two days from then to find out what is wrong with it! It took approx 5 days to tell me that my car was running hot! But get this he supposedly run a test 29.00 charge!! I think he just looked at it!! Had it towed away but refused to move other cars that were surrounding my car!! Took his time!! It is the worst place ever!!!

The service is terrible. I got my water pump change on my car from this place, they were very unprofessional and rude. They kept telling me to go get parts and then they would say "oh you don't need that part". They would tell me that my car will be ready on a certain day and when I would get there to pick up my car it would not be ready. This last time was very fustustrating dealing with them. They told me that I needed to get parts on my car fixed, that they fixed on the last visit, when I brought this to their attention the Main Guy Mr. Shepard told me, "Oh yeah we did fix that, we sure did fix that" I ask them when I first brought my car to them to check on a certain thing. Shepard tells me that he check that and gives me a list of things I need to fix, get this , 3 weeks of them having my car, he calls me and tells me that the orginal thing I asked him to check Is whats wrong with my car. So I tell them Im going to pick up my car and I done with them, they leave my car amess, they did not put my car back the way they found it.. I will never, ever use their services again.
