Norman Funk - Idaho Farm Bureau Insurance Agent

After 13 years with Farm Bureau we had our very first claim for $5,000. We had an employee fall off a ladder with a client's custom fixture in his hand. The fixture was a total loss. We were told that we were not covered due to the employee having control of the property. But had he dropped a hammer on the fixture instead, we would have been covered. Our Agent Steve did not have us covered in what would seem like such a small accident. The adjuster, Jon, informed us that no one would cover for something like this but very first new insurance I asked they said with out a doubt we should have been covered. And I ask two other companies and they said the same thing, a good insurance agent would have had you covered. Falling off the ladder was the accident, the fixture would have never broke otherwise. Jon did proceed to tell me that maybe our employee should have done a better job. After 13 years and $7,000 a year in payments we went somewhere else that has us fully covered. When reviewing your policy make sure it has the 3 C's - Care, Custody or Control. Apparently with Farm Bureau this is an extra charge.
