Skid Marks Tire Pros in Denham Springs (formally Firestone Tire & Auto) have been taking care of my vehicles since late 2007 - early 2008. I live in Plaquemine, LA and every time my vehicles need servicing or repairs, I make the drive to Skid Marks in Denham. That is how good their service is and that is how good their mechanics are. I have a personal relationship with these guys and that is important to me. My truck has over 215,000 miles on it and my SUV has over 250,000 on it; both are still driving strong, they are dependable, and they are mechanically sound. Skid Marks prices are very honest. The service is quick and dependable. I trust and highly recommend Skid Marks in Denham Springs.

CAUTION be aware of the DANGERS; My girlfriend went in for new tires and they forgot one lug nut on one of the tires and the other 3 tire's lug nuts was half made up. I was forced to add a star. They should be 0 star option. No stars.

Just bought a set of 4 Michelin tires from the Lee Drive location and had them balanced and mounted. Before purchasing, I checked for prices of the same model tires at other local tire dealers as well as internet vendors which shipped a set of four tires free to specific local dealers for installation. Skid Marks Tire Pros had the lowest local price and the only lower price I found was an internet vendor free ship to local dealer for install. The difference in price was about $60 total for a set of four. I also got a free oil change and have a remaining free oil change with my purchase. The counter personnel were friendly, respectful, and offered some extra options at an extra cost. I declined the extra options without any hard sell techniques used. It was a very pleasant tire buying experience and at a good price. I waited 2 hours for the tire installation and oil change which seemed long, but not unlike my experience at other tire dealers.

BEWARE!! Skid marks on Lee Dr. totally screwed me over. I brought my car in for a tire alignment and balance and they did not tell me that 1)My rim was bent causing it to be unsafe to travel on and 2) I had an issue with my right front strut that caused that tire to wear on the outside edge very rapidly. These issues caused me to have no choice but to replace my tires way sooner than I should have had to, and the mechanical work on the car was over $1100 when I brought it to a different shop for a different recommendation. Just be on the lookout that they will not tell you an issue if its going to mean you will need new tires sooner than needed.

TERRIBLE service. The staff was incredibly rude to me and very disrespectful! They didn't do their job when I asked them to do a check up while they changed my oil (which took an hour and 40 minutes when there were only 2 cars before me). My car ended up getting a leak with the coolant the VERY NEXT day after I asked them to change the oil and do a check up. I couldn't even go down the street without it possibly overheating. They refused to acknowledge it, refused to look at it, and told me they were going to tow my car if I did not take it off the property because I was taking up their customers parking places!! The manager/owner Mark actually said that to me!!! DO NOT go to here, ESPECIALLY not the one in Denham Springs on South Range, that is where this all occurred.

If I could give this place zero stars, then I would. I took my car into the SkidMarks on Range in Denham Springs on Tuesday, July 23 for an oil change and while they're at it to check the fluids. On Wednesday, July 24, the very next day, my car's check coolant light came on. My boyfriend waited for my car to cool to add more coolant and water into it so that it wouldn't overheat. I later tried to drive to work, when the light came on again, and added even more water to it once it cooled. Long story short it still overheated even though I put about a total of 4 to 6 gallons of coolant and water in it. I've NEVER had a problem with my car overheating or even coming close to it. So I took it today, Thursday July 25, back to the SkidMarks on Range in Denham Springs. I told the man named Mark (who appeared to be the man in charge) about my problem and that it's never occurred to my car before. He immediately went into defense and claimed that they had nothing to do with it. He took my car to the back, had a mechanic look at it, came back in about a minute saying that it was leaking (I could have told him that). He was very rude, parked my car diagonal in a handicap spot (I'm not handicap) and told me he won't fix it basically because I accused him of messing up my car when I got the oil change, which is an accurate assumption since my car never had a problem with coolant levels and leaking and overheating before I took it there. Anyway, he contradicted himself multiple times, he threatened to tow my car. He was VERY RUDE and would walk away while when I'd ask him questions of how my car would get that way and what was causing it. DO NOT GO TO SKIDMARKS UNLESS YOU WANT NOTHING BUT DISAPPOINTMENT AND TO BE TREATED LIKE A WORTHLESS CUSTOMER!! IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR QUALITY SERVICE, DO NOT GO HERE, YOU WILL WAIT WAY TOO LONG FOR ANYTHING (I had waited for 1 hour and 40 minutes for the oil change and there was only 2 other cars in front of me getting their tires rotated/oil change). I DO NOT recommend this place, especially the one on Range in Denham Springs.

This is a terrible buisness. I went in to have them check my car and already before any work is done it is $100 to find the problem then they quoted me $680 for a new starter and battery. So I took my truck to another shop (plantation car, and tire service) where they informed me my battery was completely fine and the new starter was only $380 and there was no fee to identify the problem. However not only did skid marks lie to me about the price and work that needed to be done they were rude. One of the employees yelled at me while I was on the phone trying to get a ride to pick me up from their shop when i reffered to them as a firestone he yelled IT'S SKID MARKS!!!. In the end the shop is run by RUDE, LIARS. The address for Plantation Tire & Car Care, a very nice, reliable shop, is 18562 Highland Rd. Baton Rouge, LA 70809. Go there before considering stepping foot in Skid Marks.

I totally disagree with "kids" review. I had great service, a fair price, and no hard sells. I will definitely go back if I need additional tire service.

Do not come here for anything!!! Worst service ever!!!! Rip off big time!
