This business may be "local," but is neither "reliable" nor "honest" like the rest of its slogan proclaims. Do NOT recommend. In a nutshell, I was stood up three times, and my refrigerator never got fixed.

Details:
I contacted All Star Appliance Repair in April when my refrigerator stopped working (wasn't getting cold enough). A serviceman named Eric came out and said I needed a new part. He ordered it and returned the next day to install it. I paid or the part and the labor. This company supposedly offers a 90-day parts and labor warranty and a "100% satisfaction guarantee."

Well, the fridge stopped working again (same problem) within 90 days. I contacted the company again and Eric came back that week, but by then my husband had thawed out the fridge and it seemed to be cooling again, so he didn't want to do anything at that point, and told me to call him as soon as it does it again.

It did it again the next week, so he came back and said it was the same problem as before and he would get another new part and be back the next day. I was wary, because why would a brand-new part break within 90 days? I thought it must be a bigger problem causing this. I figured I would ask him when he came back to install it.

Well, he did not return the next day (Saturday), and I couldn't reach anyone at the business the whole weekend. I left multiple phone messages and they were not returned. I finally got ahold of someone on Monday, and they said someone would be out that afternoon. Again, no one showed up. My husband called later, acting like he was a new client, and HIS call was returned. They told him someone would be out the next day.

Eric finally came, and replaced a different part than the one originally replaced. It did not solve the problem. I called to tell him that, and he said he would call the manufacturer of the fridge and get back to me within half an hour. He didn't get back to me, so I called him at the end of the day. He said he would be back again the next day.

For the third time, he did not show up, and I haven't heard from him since (that was five days ago). I have again left multiple phone messages at both the company's phone numbers, and no one will return my calls. This company did NOT fix my fridge, and did NOT stand by their "100% satisfaction guarantee" or parts and labor warranty. I would like a refund, though I would prefer to have my time back, after being stood up three times.

Eric came over to replace our Thermador Ice Maker over a month and a half ago. The Ice Maker hasn't produced more than 12-15 ice cubes over 2 to 3 days. Initially we thought there was an issue with replacing the water filter, which I followed through on and then figured out this wasn't the cause for the low production of ice. We ran into Eric at the local grocery store and he asked us how ice production was. We told him it still wasn't good, and that we'd be in touch with him. We've since followed up with him, and haven't heard back from him after 2 to 3 weeks. Eric was scheduled to come for a follow up on November 14th, but was a complete no show. Thoroughly unimpressed with the lack of follow up to make sure our $575 part was working correctly. At this point, I'm going to have to incur additional costs to figure out why the ice maker isn't producing much ice by calling another repair service.

Very efficient service. I have read the reviews and find that the good reviews hold up to the standard that I gave them. Eric was kind and price was right. He had a helper that seemed to be learning quickly in the process. They came to repair my dryer and were in and out. I have no complaints just really good service from these guys.

Worst company and the most deceitful company I have ever dealt with in my life. Eric is a liar and a thief. If you can't fix something dont do a half job, charge and say it's fixed or say you will be back to finish and never show. Its been over a year this man never returned calls or refunded the money as promised.Had sears to come out to find ERIC instead of replacing the blower chopped the blades off the blower of my dryer so the noise would not be there and told my daughter it was fixed. When I called several times he said he would be back and return my money. Never did either. Then stop answering my calls. Stop scamming people you slug. Too bad this website don't have the ability to post pictures. People please don't believe the made up reviews that are positive. Take a good look at the negative ones and see how similar they are and then 2 good long ones comes right after. Too much of a coincidence don't you think..

Not a friend or family member here, just a customer. They came promptly to look at my dryer that wasn't working and made the repair. The part they fixed wasn't the only problem and they had to come back and fixe the dryer again at no extra cost. Professional and eager to make it right.

*WONDERFUL SERVICE ...This company was amazing. I had a problem with my refrigerator during the course of this dilemma I lost all my food. When i woke up friday morning I went to grab milk and noticed that the milk was walk along with everything else in the refrigerator. I quickly looked online a read some of the glowing reviews about All-Star and gave them a call. I talked to a service man on the phone who calmed me down and gave me a few ideas like going to get ice to keep in the refrigerator until the technician could arrive. I went to the store and did this. I was given a time of 11-1 which was sooner than I expected considering I was calling them around 10am. After waiting maybe about an hour I received a call from Eric the technician saying he was on his way in about 20 minutes. I was so grateful that they were on the way. When Eric arrived he had a smile on his face and was really friendly and kept my composure. He told me this was going to be a simple repair and would be an easy fix.

Came out on a Sunday for my refrigerator. I couldn't find anyone willing to come out. They were fast and the technician was so nice and quick with repair. Saved hundreds of dollars in food! Will use again.

Check with the better business bureau about this place, or angies list. They will gladly come out and charge a diagnostic fee - and then they will not return. This will force you to pay an additional diagnostic fee to another company. Don't use this company, you will regret it.

If I could give NO stars, I would. I had previously recommended All-Star Appliance Repair Baltimore; however, I must rescind. Apparently the owner, Eric Solomon, does not care about his company or customers. After over a month of arriving late or not at all and not returning calls and texts, I have given up. DO NOT USE ALL-STAR APPLIANCE REPAIR in Baltimore unless you want to be completely disappointed. At this point, I am owed money for my time and the money I paid.

I had a terrible experience with this company. I had a problem with my refrigerator and they came out to fix it. They showed up late the first time and charged me more than the "max" they quoted me over the phone even though their diagnosis was a "common problem". The fix didn't work so I called again. The second time they didn't even show up or call. They came out again the next and were unable to fix it again. Tried to get them to come out a third time but couldn't get in contact with them for over a week (they never returned my messages). Finally the owner Eric promised me a refund, but then never returned my calls after that. Don't bother.

Follow up review: Eric went above and beyond what was requested when it came to rectifying the issue that I described in a prior post. I can honestly say he has since apologized and rectified the issue to my satisfaction. I appreciate the steps he took to correct the situation and take accountability.
