Everyone is extremely welcoming and caring. My son doesn't really like strangers but he immediately connected with the doctor and he was really playful with him. Filling went well for the most part. I was very nervous about it but after seeing how gentle the staff and the doctor were with him him I was more at ease. Being in the room with my son also helped a lot. I had some bad experiences in other offices prior to visiting doctor Dove.

Dr Dove you're the best! I know being a dentist especially dealing kids is not easy as other think.My kids loves coming to see you and my feel very comfortable seeing my kids happy. Dr. Dove is awfull. He is sooo unprofessional, mean, and abusive to children!. I took my four year old daughter in and he pinched her told her to shut up, kept putting his finger in my daughters mouth and forcing her to keep her mouth open. She was strapped and I was never notified. I specifically asked them and told them to tell me if she needed to be strapped! As she was screaming I kept asking why she was screaming and all the assistance would tell me was that it was the drill the was frighting her....LIE,LIE,LIES!! They are monsters DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN THERE!!! He is a monster!!

The staff has always been very nice and make my kids, as well as myself, feel very welcome. You guys have always made it a pleasurable experience for my kids.

My son isn't afraid to come anymore, even though the first visit, he was terrified. When I tell him we are going to the dentist, he says, "Good! My teeth need to be checked by Dr. Dove!" He tells me to make an appointment all the time. Keep up the excellent work!

Our kids love coming to see Dr. Dove. When I tell them we are coming in they say "Yeah! Dr. Dove Rocks!!" We are very pleased with the staff and the dentist here. If only you would take teens and adults.

Dr. Dove is patient and understanding. My son has a fear of going to the dentist, but Dr. Dove tries to make him feel as comfortable as he can, and I am very grateful for that.

Dr. Dove's work has been great and virtually pain-free. Dr. Dove hands are small which is great since Dr. Dove doesn't need to rip my mouth open to get in there to do work.

We liked Dr. Dove and the staff a lot. Beanie's first dental visit was a smash hit, I was very worried. She does not like her teeth brushed, so it was a miracle she didn't put up a fight. I could not believe she let the assistant put the motorized tooth polisher anywhere near her face, but I have pictures to prove it.

HE TORTURES YOUR CHILD, BY FORCING THEM TO GET TREATMENT BY USING FORCE & FEAR TACTICS aka. CHILD ABUSE!



I took my daughter to Dentist(Edward E Dove, DDS in Chatsworth, CA) 6 days ago to because my Dentist was not able to do the work. She of course like any other child is afraid of the Dentist, so they referred us to Dr. Dove. The 1st appointment I was allowed to go in the back while he assessed her and while she got her x-rays. On the day of her procedure I was not allowed to go back even though she was being sedated! They gave her a liquid to drink and brought her to me until they called her. I was never told the name of the liquid besides it is a child "cocktail" and it is given per their weight in which she was weighed that morning. It took them close to an hour to call her to do the work. I was NEVER told that she would be strapped down...what is the purpose of the sedation medication? Why does a sedated child need to be strapped down without a family member present? The "child cocktail" must be a hoax to collect a $150.00 fee from the Parents because it does not work. He admittedly told me after they were finished that my daughter "tried to break away" and "she kept trying to get up"! Why didn't he stop to come get me? I AM LIVID! He then said to me that "he told her she had to be a big girl and he had no more problems after that." When they walked my daughter around the corner she was horrified, crying excessively and saying "Mom I couldn't breathe.". I said Ashley what do you mean? He didn't care to explain and she just clinged to me sobbing! I carried her to the car and she fell asleep all the way home. At home when she woke up about an hour later, she said she could not breathe because he placed his hand over her mouth while pinching her nose and telling her "SUCK IT UP YOU HAVE TO BE A BIG GIRL"! She said she could not breathe!!! He did this while she was strapped down, so not only could I not hear her yell for me BUT she could not try to fight for herself! I cannot express my emotions in a positive way but I do not see why his license has not been taken away. The Police came to my home, spoke to my daughter. He has 3 office locations that I know of and has already been on the news in Bakersfield regarding this type of abuse he is causing to his minor patients! There are 2 Facebook Groups that have been created regarding this "child specialist" Edward E. Dove, DDS 1)Bakersfied Dentist Does Not ROCK and 2)Let's investigate Dr. Dove of Chatsworth...you won't believe that this is happening frequent and often and is very unacceptable to a lot of parents! I wish I saw the news story that Bakersfield aired on him on 09/01/11 because I would have never taken my daughter to him. She has nightmares about this incident and I will have a hard time(which I already did) getting to ever go to ANY Dentist for any future treatments or cleanings! I want his license taken away so he cannot continue to abuse and place fear in helpless children. I also want him to be in prison for abusing my daughter, because if I did what he did I would have been arrested after the Police spoke to her! The reason he continues to get away with it is because our Law Enforcement and Authorities are not doing their jobs! If he was stopped when the first parent contacted the Law, he would not have been able to do this to my daughter or the other children that have been hurt emotionally and physically by Edward Dove. Please see that this does not fall through the cracks and the necessary actions are setup to properly stop this man from abusing his position and our children!

Please, DO NOT take your precious children to Dr. Dove. First of all, he will not allow you to be with your child while they work on him/her, you have to wait in the waiting room, while you hear them scream and cry!!



WORSE, my 5 1/2 year old son came home without his bonding on his front tooth last week. When I called Dr. Dove's office to come in, I left a message and did not receive a call back. When I called again, I was treated so disrespectfully, as if my son and I were lying how his bond came off. I had to ASK for an appointment, which they could not see him for over a week, with an exposed tooth!! When we came in they made us wait an hour, told us they "fit us in" (as if they did us a favor) and wanted us to pay $75 before they even looked at him.



Dr. Dove would not stand by his work, said it could not have "just come off". It's only been 8 months since the work was done and Dr. Dove said if it happened in the 1st few months, then he would have not charged me. Does not make much sense!!



His staff literally kicked us out of their office, locked the door (like we were going to do something to them) and when we knocked to get our x-rays, which we already paid for, they would not open the door!! NOT A PLACE YOU WANT TO TAKE YOUR CHILDREN!!



Remember to go with your 1st instincts, mine were telling me to go to another Dentist, but we had a lot of work to be done on our son and I knew Dr. Dove had 3 different offices and thought he must be good, but I was right on with my instincts!!
