        Baker County Sheriff s Office is a part of the Oregon State Sheriff s Association, and is located in Baker City, Ore. The marine division of Baker County Sheriff's Office consists of four seasonal full-time deputies. It operates three jet-powered, aluminum-hulled patrol boats. The marine patrol provides boaters using the lakes and rivers of Baker County with many services. Its primary duties are water safety education, marine law enforcement, titling and registration services, on the water assistance for disabled boaters, and assistance with search and rescue operations when needed. The marine patrol is also responsible for the enforcement of regulations relating to guides and outfitters operating within Baker County. In addition to patrolling the waters in Baker County, the marine patrol provides water safety instructions to grade schools in the county
