San Marin Apartments

These apartments are 20+ years old, and things have definitely started to wear out, not function, etc. We have had 10+ maintenance work orders since we have lived here, and most of them require several visits in order to be resolved. Not because they had to go get a part or something...I mean because they say it is fixed and it is not. Examples include our garage door, our heater/AC unit (twice), exterior lighting in the building, and the finish on our bathtub. Maintenance is terrible around here. They fired the old manager in mid 2017 but the new one doesn't seem to have improved things much.

Also the groundskeeping is terrible. We live at the back of the complex and there is trash everywhere. Contributing to this is the fact that out dumpster seems like it is overflowing-full all the time. So wind blows trash off the top and into the grassy areas. And dog poop? Everywhere. It's like nobody picks up after their dog. And what do those of us that do get for our trouble? Poop receptacles that are as overflowing as the dumpster. At least the dumpster gets emptied every week, though. The poop receptacles can go for a couple of weeks or more without being emptied.

Oh, and back to maintenance, one time a couple of the covered parking things got ran over and destroyed. It took the management a couple of months to get that fixed. And right now, the little brick wall between the "in" and "out" gates at the front of the complex is just a little pile of bricks. I guess somebody ran over it too. We'll see how long it stays that way. In the meantime, it sure is dark up there at night.

Also, as of December 2017, they will not hold _any_ shipped packages at the office. This started earlier in 2017, when they decided they'd only hold US Post Office packages. But then literally at the peak of Christmas 2017 shipping, they stopped holding USPS packages too.

At least its quiet, and the residents are nice, and keep to themselves.
