The food and drinks were acceptable, but they were overpriced. For that price, we expected better.
The service was despicable and deplorable. The manager and the owner attempted to refuse service because one of us was disabled and had a medical alert service animal. The disabled person was clearly wearing Medical Alert Tags. The service animal was in a crate, clearly marked "Medical Service Alert Animal" and "Service Animal, Access Required by Law." Copies of the federal Americans with Disabilities Act with regard to Service Animals were offered to both manager and owner. Manager and owner humiliated the disabled person with an altercation right in front of all the patrons.

I visited Manuel's on Jollyville for ths first time this past weekend with some friends. They assured me that it was one of the best Mexican food restaurants in Austin. I can't say that I was disappointed. We had to wait about 30 minutes for a table as it was quite busy on this SAturday night. We kept ourselves busy with cocktails and chips at the bar. Our top shelf Margaritas were excellent without being too sweet and a Mojito was ordered that was excellent. Once we sat down, the waiter was pleasant and attentive. We quickly ordered some guacamole which was fresh and delicious. I ordered the chicken fajitas and my friends ordered chicken mole and a salad. The fajitas were really good, but I think the mole was the highlight. It was rich and spicy without being too heavy. I highly recommend this place, just expect to wait on a weekend night. Enjoy
