Hospice Austin

Christopher House is an amazing place that offers such support and care at such a vulnerable time. My husband spent 2 weeks there, while the experts at Hospice Austin managed his pain (he had bone cancer) allowing him to come home to die, as was his wish. Christopher House is a place of such calm and peace, each room has a hospital bed, a private bathroom, a fold out couch, microwave and little refrigerator. If you don't look too closely at all the medical equipment, it feels like a hotel room, offering families such a comfortable place, at such a difficult time. I will always be grateful that Hospice Austin offers such an amazing support facility for their clients. Thank you from the very core of my soul. ~ Julie, Eric's wife

My mother was at the Christopher House from June 15, until June 21, 2009, when she passed away. The personal care and friendly people was so great. My mom had been in and out of hospitals and rehabs for the last 5 years and none of them could even come near to the care she had at the Christopher House. Everyone on the staff their was so great. Not only did they take wonderful care of my mother, but they took care of us too. They were there when we needed a shoulder to cry on and there to explain anything we didn't understand or if we had any questions they were there to answer then honestly.



They made my moms last days very comfortable and made our last days with my mom very special. They even make up beautiful flower arrangements and deliver them to your room. They also had people come in and play beautiful music in the halls, they had a harp player who was amazing. I can't say enough about how much my whole family appreciated all of the staff at the Christopher House. Although we do miss my mom, I'm so glad that we chose the Christopher House for her last days.



would like to personally thank all of the staff, including nurses, doctors, volunteer and even the security. They were all so pleasant.
