        Andres Lerner, MD received his Doctorate of Medicine from Maimonides University. After completing his residency in General Surgery, he pursued a Hand and Microvascular Surgery Fellowship at the University of California San Francisco that combined Plastic and Orthopedic surgery training. Dr. Lerner is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery. At the start of his career, he specialized in minimally invasive procedures for arthritis and nerve pathologies including carpal tunnel syndrome. He continues to provide this expertise in his private practice in Austin while expanding on his already extensive experience taking care of traumatic injuries of the upper extremities that include fractures, neurovascular injuries, and tendon and ligament injuries. Dr. Lerner is committed to providing his patients with honest and compassionate care. The greatest professional compliments he has received are the numerous referrals from his patients' friends and family. In addition to his professional commitments, Dr. Lerner is a musician and songwriter with recording experience. His love of music has led to his ongoing involvement with the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians (HAAM) where he provides pro bono services to fellow local musicians.         Best doctor I have ever seen

        Dr Lerner is absolutely the most wonderful and brilliant doctor I have ever been to. So easy to talk to and so caring. He made feel like he truely cares about me and my health.

        A great doctor!

        I have seen Dr. Lerner on several occasions for hand problems. He is the most caring and compassionate physician I have ever seen. He was very thorough and didn't rush through my appt. like alot of doctors tend to do. Every visit I have had with him has been a great experience and very informative and I highly recommend him for any and all hand / elbow problems.
