Incorporated in 1980, the Alzheimer s Association is one of the leading voluntary health organizations that provides a range of support services for the treatment of Alzheimer s disease in the United States. It is a nonprofit organization that offers education, safety, emergency and consulting services. The facility maintains a library that provides a variety of information resources on Alzheimer s disease. Additionally, it offers online services and conducts several conferences. The Alzheimer s Association also organizes various workshops for individuals suffering from Alzheimer s disease and caregivers. The Alzheimer s Association provides 24-hour help line that serves people with memory loss, caregivers, health care professionals and the general public. It maintains locations in Atlanta, Macon, Augusta and Dalton, Ga.
