Chili's Grill & Bar

We were greeted with 'there's a table in the corner, seat yourselves'! Our waiter was very good. Food was good. The table was so scratched inat first thought it was dirty. Not my usual Chilis experience.

Chilis was amazing when I went. The service was outstanding, and the food was delicious. I strongly encourage everyone to go there.

I am a very big fan of Chilies. However, we never had one in the area. My boyfriend and I would drive out of town just to eat there. The food is excellent and the service was always at the same level. Recently my boyfriend and I decided to visit the new Chilies that opened in Arroyo Grande. When we walked in the place was busy as we expected. Now we both work in the food industry so we have patience and we don't mind waiting when we can obviously see that you are busy. However when we walked in there were at least five hosts standing at the counter. Nobody greeted us but they did turn around and look at us as if we were aliens. They went back to doing whatever it was they were doing. So we thought they would be with us in a minute, although nobody stated that. Then another couple walked in and one of the hosts turned around and began helping them. I was so shocked and disappointed in their service that we walked out and have not been back since. When we do go to Chiles we go to Santa Barbara, which is a drive for us but the service is worth it. I also work for Macys and we send out surveys and have our customers tell us what they think. If we treat a customer they way my boyfriend and I were treated, we would be reprimanded. Unfortunately I do not know that names, only that they were young teens. Which is no excuse because I am twenty myself. I do want to be able to go to the local Chilies, however, I do not want to be treated that way again.

I was so disappointed in the service that we received in this location. We were not greeted for 10 min. We had a party of 8 which I feel was not that large. It took them another 15 minutes to find us a table and then we were put in the bar section, which was okay with us. There was another 20 minuites that we waited to even get the drinks and another 10 to get our orders. The girl that was supposed to help us, actually ignored us and walked another way around to serve customers that were seated behind us. Other people came in and they were waited on (it was in the same bar area) in fact, they got their order and ate and left before we got our meal. The girl told a young man to wait on us. They were actually arguing about who would help us. Then to top it off, our order was incorrect. But by that time, we weren't going to send it back. It took us over 2 hours to be seated,drinks and food. I didn't write sooner because I was so upset by the service that this comment would have been a lot worse describing the details. It wasn the 20th of June and we spent around 150.00. But it does not matter how much we spent, it was the customer service that we received. It is the poorest service that I have ever received in a resturaunt of any kind. I hope that this location will learn how to wait on customers no matter who they are.
