Neighborhood Grill

I love this place! The food is consistently amazing! The people are very friendly! Highly recommended!!!

Wow the review below must be the manager from McDonald's or a neighboring restaurant because my experience at this great place is not even remotely close to his! And I have been going here for two years!! Not only do they make your hamburger fresh, but they make it YOUR WAY better than your mother would. I always ask for extra pickles with jalapeños and cheese, but they also do it AT NO EXTRA CHARGE!!!! I was ready to put in my review on this favorite spot of mine and my family's but I am seriously dumbfounded by the downright LIES that the other reviewer told. This is THE most accomodating restaurant I have ever been to and trust me when I say I am picky about where I decide to eat. They give you 5-star service and quality at BELOW fast food prices! As great as their food is, their service is even better! The old man with the salt and pepper hair is the friendliest owner I have ever met. Always ends the conversation with "my friend" and "my buddy" that even my hard to befriend father likes him. I am proud to say that I am one of the hundreds of customers that have signed the customer appreciation wall! Also noted that they were listed as one of the cleanest places in Arlington by the Star-Telegram! You won't find fresh food, incredible service, and NEIGHBORHOOD FEELING at McDonald's or any other rat hole in Arlington! My absolute favorite meal is the Chicken Philly steak that's out of this world! The regular steak Philly is amazing as well. I'm not a Gyro fan but something about their sauce is incredible! The owner said that they make it HOME MADE and you can really taste the difference. And I dare you to get freshly breaded chicken strips at McDonald's or Popeye's or anywhere else that are sizzling hot with as much or as little kick as you want like I have found at this place. Seriously I don't even have to tell them what I want they know exactly what I like and how I like it. If this restaurant was a woman I would have married her a long time ago!!!!

I walked in Neighborhood Grill because it was recommended by a friend. I'm not sure why a friend of mine would like a place like this after what I experienced. When I first walked to the counter, the employee behind the counter asked "what?". Then proceeded to say that he already took my order a few minutes before. Confused by this I told him that he must be confusing me with somebody else. He then proceeded to take my order incorrectly, I assume he was in a hurry, and when he finally got it right he told me that they do not put ketchup on hamburgers as I had requested. I laughed thinking it was a joke but finally agreed, not really minding because I had ketchup at home. As I watched new people walk in and out, I took note that 7 people who ordered after me got their food before me. I only ordered a cheeseburger and fries and these people were getting those same things much faster than I was. I took note of the "service". Another one of the workers was taking orders over the phone saying that they were busy and he didn't have time to read them the menu. I also noticed that they rushed a young gentlemen when he didn't know what he wanted to drink. After waiting 30 minutes after ordering and seeing a woman get her food when I had arrived about 10 minutes before her, I walked out and went to McDonald's instead. Although I wouldn't call the food from McDonald's better at all, I got my food in a fraction of the time. I do not recommend going to Neighborhood Grill. The service was downright horrible.
