BOTOX® Cosmetic is an FDA approved therapeutic medicine that is injected into muscles and used to improve the look of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows and forehead, temporarily correcting the visible signs of aging and stress. BOTOX® Cosmetic injections are minimally invasive and are designed to relax the underlying facial muscles thus softening wrinkles. It works by blocking the nerve impulses to the injected muscles. Full correction is apparent within seven to ten days and usually lasts between three to five months. There is little recovery time and minimal discomfort. Some pre-existing medical conditions preclude the use of this therapy. A consult with Dr. Pechman is required prior to receiving this treatment.
Plastic Surgery
I recommend SENTÉ® Dermal Repair Cream, an innovative cream that contains HSA Technology, a sugar derived substance. Not only does SENTÉ® Dermal Repair Cream improve skin hydration, studies have also shown that it improves the appearance of skin elasticity, skin firmness, brown spots and improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. I find it very helpful for sensitive skin or skin that has been made sensitive by anti-aging products, such as retinol.
Dermabrasion
The Pixel Perfect™ laser treatment lifts away years from your face. It helps reverse the early signs of aging and counteracts years of sun damage or acne scarring. While the best results are still achieved with CO2 lasers, Baker’s phenol peels or dermabrasion, there are significant risks involved in those procedures including permanent scarring, infection and pigmentary changes to the skin. And all require several weeks of down time. Pixel Perfect™ can achieve dramatic facial rejuvenation and scar reduction with significant reduction in risks and a healing time of one to three days depending upon your initial condition. It is tolerated quite well with cooling and topical anesthetics alone.
