I feel very comfortable at Lighthouse Family Dentistry. They do a great job making the dentist as easy and relaxing as possible.

They lady at the front desk is very helpful to me and does a great job explaining my billing to me and what would show up on my bill.

I have been a patient at Lighthouse Family Dentistry since they opened. They took over the practice of our old family dentist and they do a great job providing high quality services to their patients, me being one of them.

I have United Concordia as an insurance plan and have always been told up front within about $10 how much I would have to pay out of pocket. But not with this place. I was charged almost $300 more than what I was supposed to have paid out of pocket (so instead of $500 it was almost $800). As a former military service member, I would think that the Dentist should know more about what the insurance company with pay. This should have been a warning since the first time I went in-I heard him explaining those "extra" charges to an elderly man who also thought that he was covered by his insurance. I thought it was just an oversight by the client. Aside from the charges, I felt really uncomfortable in the chair. When he was fitting me for a ceric (not sure of spelling), I could feel a lot of the procedure, and he did not offer more numbing. Now, please don't get me wrong, I am not a baby when it

Expect to wait a long time, and well beyond your actual appointment time. There is also zero privacy in the office - the exam/procedure areas are all in one big, open room in clear view of the waiting area. I don't particularly mind, but it was a surprise the first time in. Once they get you in the chair everyone is pleasant enough, but for some reason I always felt rushed and Dr. Meiser and his staff were always trying to sell (yes, sell, not recommend or advise) a new procedure or product for me - by my last visit I wasn't sure if I even needed any of the things they were talking about. They also applied a flouride paste during a regular cleaning that I didn't ask for and I didn't know what they were doing when it happened as they never obtained my consent. Turns out my insurance didn't cover that part of the procedure and I was out $51 for something I didn't even want to begin with. That was the last straw - I am now looking for a new dentist and would not recommend Lighthouse.
