you decide ---Bad diagnostic or a cheap shot
I had cars worked on by them several years ago and was happy with the results, felt they were trust worthy and fair with their prices, even refered severals friends there. things seem to have change, new people working the front desk
I had a rattle in the front of car, I thought it was the struts, they looked at the car and said no, it was the rack and pinion needed to be replaced, Knowing very little about cars, I had the repair done. they installed new rack and pinion ( $800.00 )
driving the car home, I could hear the same rattle, was a week before I had time to take the car back, this time they said it was the front struts, wanted another $500.00 + to fix, I said no to the repair this time. I will take to several other repair shops
I talked to a friends friend that is a mechanic, he said if the rack and pinion was bad then the steering would be harder in making turns, maybe car would pull to the left or right. none of the things he mentioned was happening, He said if it was rattling, that all it probably would have needed was 2 new rubber bushing that fit in the mounting holes, about $30 - $40 + labor, I researched on the internet and found about the same answers, Lets say if the rubber bushing were bad, that is probably around a $250 repair. He said the rattle is probably the strut mount went bad and may not need new struts on the front of car, might just need new mounts, if so that is 2 bad diagnostics
Bad diagnostic or a cheap shot, fix most expensive first and take a shot for another $500 + repair that might not be needed to fix the rattle in order to get it right the 2nd time
You decide, what does it sound like to you

I took my car, plus I gave them the parts I wanted replaced, I went to pick it up, and they didnt install my parts, I asked for them back and they said they lost them, Plus they claimed to have fixed something that I did not ask them to, and would not let me have my car back unless I paid them,, Sons on Bs they are,,, How do they manage to stay in business when they treat people like this?
