Dana's Housekeeping

We telephoned this company for a "deep cleaning" of a 3 bedroom 2 bath 2 living area one-story home in Albuquerque NM for Wed Jan 27 2010 at 9 am. The person on the phone at 505 275 8888 said they had a "cleaning special" of $99 plus tax and I explicitely asked: Is that a single person fee or a crew? To which she replied that it was a "crew of 2 people for 4 hours and it included the supplies and equipment". I wrote it down. Then we scheduled the time and day and I repeated that the service would include a crew of two people for four hours service and the total cost would be $99 plus tax of $6.56= $105.56. My Husband was at the house when the "crew of two" arrived on time with their equipment and supplies. The two ladies announced that they were hired for a "general cleaning" and would be there for only 2 hours; that if 4 hours service was needed, the cost would be double! My husband then called me to clarify and I was shocked at this and immediately phoned the office of Dana's Housekeeping at 505 275 8888 where I was told the $99 + tax was PER CREW MEMBER! I replied that this is NOT what I was told when I scheduled the work, that I had specifically inquired to be sure, and she had assured me that it was $99 for a crew of two for a total of 4 hours--we had even discussed that for a one story house that is probably 1500 to 1600 square feet at the most that 4 hours should be plenty of time and she even said they would clean out the refrigerator--"whatever needed to be done". This two member "crew" not only had an attitude, but did not know how to clean; attempted to hurry up and we constantly had to explain to them (i.e.) that when cleaning an open display shelf, you remove the items carefully, clean the items, then clean the shelves and put the items back. (They attempted to slide their dust clost around the items in front and ignore the rest!). We even had to tell them to clean the ceiling fan blades, clean the bulbs, etc., which they said was not part of their cleaning procedures! Not only is this company deceitful in their charges, but they have a virtually untrained and unprofessional crew who would rather argue and have a controversy rather than get the job done right and have a satisfied customer. This is too bad as this is a family (both parents are close to 90) who needs help and who could/would have been repeat customers. We cannot/would not recommend this company to anyone and are extremely disappointed with their charges, service, and attitudes.
